Curating Elegance

Maison Lotan and Casa Cipriani joined forces to produce Bollettino, a one-of-a-kind magazine that caters to their global audience. The quarterly publication focuses on timeless design and natural elegance, reflecting the values of Casa Cipriani. Club members will enjoy the publication in Milan and New York private clubs, hotels, and Cipriani establishments worldwide. Inspired by Cipriani's elegance and reputation for taste and cultural leadership, we curated a slate of feature articles, editorial spreads, and abbreviated odes to the people.

Just their type

To honor the brand's heritage and tie together the contents of the magazine, Maison Lotan designed a custom typeface based on Casa Cipriani's visual identity through the years. Beyond providing a balance to the more restrained body type choice, this carefully crafted, somewhat audacious font allowed us to freely weave the brand into each of the magazine's features.

Adapting to the audience

The contents and layout of the magazine was optimized for two distinct types of reader. There are bold, unmissable headlines and generously-sized visuals for the reader who can afford a moment or two to skim the magazine while they wait for their coffee. For the reader who is able to peruse at a more leisurely pace, Bollettino provides a longer form experience with its storytelling and editorial context, presented in a more delicate font size to maximize insight.
